  1. :welcome: P0204 Cayenne V8 – injection valve on cylinder 4 – open circuit Possible cause of fault - Open circuit in the injection valve's control line - Open circuit in voltage supply between injection valve and fuse - Fuse F7 in fuse carrier in radiator tank E-box faulty - Injection valve on cylinder 4 faulty - DME control module faulty Obviously check the fuse (F7) first.
  2. The blue/brown wire cutting and taping will do it on this model. Sorry for the confusion.
  3. Well, sorry then you are likely going to have to see a dealer/OPC.
  4. Porsche buy "OEM" filters from Mahle as well as Mann.
  5. It is a black control piece with wires running to it on the throttle body.
  6. Tone button location... (click to enlarge)
  7. P1508 408 Torque Comparison Function Monitor – Signal Implausible Possible causes: Values from gain adjustment outside tolerance. – DME control module P1505 404 Throttle Jacking Unit, Control Range – Open Circuit P1505 404 Throttle Jacking Unit, Control Range – Below Limit P1505 404 Throttle Jacking Unit, Control Range – Above Limit Possible causes: Below nominal actuator current – Open circuit – Short to B+ Above nominal actuator current – Short to ground – Short circuit in triggering wires I would reset them and see if they come back. Perhaps some electronics cleaner on the throttle jacking connectors.
  8. Ok - now I am confused... is this a CDR-220?
  9. Did you follow the instructions in the Lost Radio Code FAQ to get your serial number?
  10. I just put heat shrink over it or a couple layers of electrical tape - no need to cut wires.
  11. You need to go back and look at the diagrams - if you had a stock spoiler before then all you need to add is pin 2 and 5 jumper. If not you will need to figure out what is already jumpered and what is not.
  12. You can do the pin jumpered if the other pins are already jumpered per spec or you can use the 996.612.070.51 (for coupes only). The Porsche aerokit wing that the harness is made for does not have a brake light either.
  13. You can view the Table of Contents and index on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Projects-Porsche-1998-2008-Motorbooks-Workshop/dp/0760344035/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top DOH! Got it, sounds useful. I already have the Bentley manual, might get this one also to add to the reference library. Yes, I would say the projects in this manual go well together with the Bentley manual... and the book is only $25.

  15. 2004 996TT X50 Engine -- US MSRP $74,703.27 (without installation charges). I don't know about you but I'd be very careful what I put in that engine.
  16. A MAF would not cause a no-start situation. The car will idle and run low RPMs fine without the MAF at all (of course you will get a fault for the bad/missing MAF). I would check the fuel pump delivery - a known problem on Cayennes.
  17. On some of the early cars (1998 and 1999) the rear fenders need to be cut to use the 17 mm spacers. So I would say with the stock offset that is the main reason for the recommendation. Not sure there is much room at the front as the fenders are factory rolled already. The 5 mm spacer get 5 mm longer bolts - the 17 mm spacers use adapters the screw to the wheel disc/hub so they use the stock length fasteners. 17 mm spacer on left - 5 mm on the right
  18. Autozone or any good auto parts store can test batteries, starters, and alternators - you just have to take them it. Tell them you want a load test and specific gravity test of each cell.
  19. Sorry, but I would take it out and have it tested. A bad ground can also cause all sorts of weird electrical faults - best check the chassis grounds.
  20. When I see a bunch of odd electrical faults the first thing I think of is - battery. Have you had your battery tested for both load and specific gravity?
  21. Sunset Porsche (a supported of this site) is offering special pricing on new Porsche wheel sets. These wheel sets have even more price cuts... so if you are thinking about a new set of wheels - check out their new pricing! Check out the Sunset Porsche Wheel/Tire Set SUPER SALE here
