  4. I think this thread has met it's goal (and beyond...) -- it is now closed.
  5. Did you try having someone gently push down - while you pull the emergency cable? If that works do not shut it again until you re-align the latch or replace it.
  6. There is a newer part number for the trim ring - but I do not know if this solves the problem. 955 552 677 00 9B9 -- rosette -- US MSRP $16.47
  7. I would check the wiring and the connectors too -- lots mud and corrosives can get up in there.

  10. Exact model and year of your car please? And is it a US/Canada car or RoW?
  11. In your case it is not the oil pump control piston. Best record and post your noise -- in the 986 section please.

  13. These types of problems (especially on Boxsters) are usually caused by bad grounds.
  14. 996 631 050 06 should be a direct replacement..
  15. All you have to do is push in the blue metal tabs on the side of the radio and the keys will slide out.
