  1. Yes - since the 997-1 uses the same (iron) brakes as the 996 series.
  2. The primary cats are removed by removing the wheel and the engine cover. Aceess through the wheel opening and engine compartment.
  3. Porsche book time 270 time units per side. 100 time units equal 1 hour. Time to get another quote or DIY.
  4. I am not sure why you felt you needed to post this twice... Try 0542

  6. As a Contributing Member you can read the after sales training book on that here. Cooling system starts on page 1.17
  7. The lines are different lengths so measuring will not be accurate. Just bleed until the fluid coming out (use clear tubing) is clear and the color of new brake fluid. One liter should be enough to bleed all four brakes and PSM.
  8. Looks like small pieces of case sealant - not that unusual. They should not cause any harm.
  9. You mis-typed the serial number in your post above. The correct code should be: 2585
  10. Diesel 18" brakes Brake disc thickness, front -- 34 mm Brake disc thickness, rear -- 28 mm Brake disc minimum thickness after machining, front -- 33.6 mm, rear -- 27.6 mm *Only 'as new' brake discs may be reworked! Only rework the brake disc symmetrically, evenly from both sides! Brake disc wear dimension, front -- 32 mm Brake disc wear dimension, rear -- 26 mm Lateral runout of brake disc, max.-- 0.03 mm Lateral runout of wheel hub max.-- 0.02 mm Lateral runout of brake disc when installed, max. -- 0.06 mm
  11. If you put the mouse cursor over the letters AOS a pop-up with give you a description.
  12. Exact model please as brake specs are different.
  13. Non-Ceramic (iron) brakes only Brake disc thickness, new -- front 34 mm , rear 28 mm Minimum brake disc thickness after machining* -- front 32.6 mm, rear 26.6 mm (* The brake disc must only be reworked symmetrically, i.e. from both sides evenly.) Brake disc wear limit -- front 32.0 mm, rear 26.0 mm Peak-to-valley surface roughness of the brake disc after machining, max. -- 0.006 mm Thickness tolerance of the brake discs, max. -- 0.02 mm Lateral runout of the brake disc, max. -- 0.03 mm Lateral runout of the wheel hub, max. -- 0.03 mm Lateral runout of the brake disc when installed, max. -- 0.06 mm
