  1. Use MAF cleaner and clean the MAF. See if that improves performance. If it does, then your K&N filter is over oiled and it is getting on the MAF.
  2. Please see my post here -- that is all the information you can get from the early serial numbers.
  3. In most cases a "tune-up" (which today involves primarily new spark plugs and inspections) is almost always recommended when you do not know when the last time a proper tune-up was done. I would recommend that and fluid changes on any used vehicle that does not have service/maintenance records.
  4. :welcome: Was this car in an accident? What happened to the steering column? Replacing a steering column is pretty unusual.
  5. You will likely need a Porsche diagnostic tool for further diagnosis. Find a shop with a Porrsche PST2, PIWIS, or PIWIS 2 tester.
  6. Problems above 3-4000 RPM is almost always MAF. Are you sure you got the correct part number? Is it a Porsche MA? or Bosch? Either way what is the part number?
  7. Bosch (USA) Diagnostic Equipment Repair Bosch Repair Center Vetronix Corp 153 Castilian Drive Goleta, CA 93117 Tel: 1-800-321-4889, Ext 7 Fax: 1-805-966-9540 Repair.Diagnostics@us.bosch.com View Bosch Service Centers Locations (521KB)
  8. DId you clean the throttle body and butterfly too?
  9. When you change out the MAF the engine must "re-learn" it's idle and throttle response curve. This usually takes 5- 0 minutes of driving and is normal. Also, you may want to check and see that the you got the right part number for the MAF for your MY car.
  10. 987-561-446-00-01C is the full part number. (click to enlarge)
  11. Do you have a PIWIS tester? If so, what version? Have you done the firmware updates?
  12. I doubt PIWIS can do firmware updates on the cloned devices.
  13. Sorry, unless you are lucky enough to find a cluster with the exact same options as your car it will need to be re-programmed with PIWIS.
  14. For the first generation Cayenne (2003-2006) there are 3 clusters - one for 6 cylinder, one for normally aspirated 8 cylinder, and one for the bi-turbo 8 cylinder. In your case you need to find an 8 cylinder cluster and have it reprogrammed. There is a DIY article here where several owners have put a turbo cluster in a Cayenne S - it is a little more work but looks very nice.
  15. :welcome: Exact model and year of your car please?
  16. :welcome: Only the special edition (40th Anniversary) models would have the "911" badging from the factory. Any others would have been owner changed.
  17. Please read the Lost Radio Code FAQ for the radios that we can help with.
