  1. Looks like someone did not read the Lost Radio Code FAQ "CDR-23 (or later): These radios do not have a security code - that is, not that the user enters. These radios are security tested on the MOST (fiber optic bus) system to see if they are the "programmed" radio. The radios are programmed and recognized by the car’s DME and can only be replaced by a shop with a PST2 or PIWIS. These radios will not request a code when battery power is disconnected."
  2. I would say any external damage that might cause them to fail. A little external rust is usually only a cosmetic problem. Damage to threads would definitely be cause for replacement.
  3. Yes, and it is much thicker than the clear bra stuff.
  4. Yes, likely battery or alternator/regulator.
  5. These wiring diagrams are only available in PIWIS or PIWIS 2 so here is the best screen shot I could get. (click to enlarge and download)
  6. Technically it is possible - not sure how much work though. I do not know if Porsche did a kit for that like they did in the 996 series. Best give the parts guys at Sunset Porsche (in Oregon) a call about that.
  7. Should be easy to test (out of the circuit) with an ohm meter. Open = infinite ohms. Closed = zero ohms. Anything else or intermittent is a bad switch.
  8. The seat belt tensioners are pyrotechnic - they fire once and they must be replaced. Fault 800A - PCM2 gateway -- Air-conditioning system regulator - no communication Fault 8009 PCM2 - MMI -- MOST fault optical/electrical Fault 8010 - TV tuner -- Power supply - limit value not reached I suggest you reset these - drive the car. Then see what (if any) come back.
  9. Do the side mirrors look like this? (click to enlarge)
  10. :welcome: Yes, if the airbags and/or the seat belt tensionners fired then you will new airbags and seat belt tensioners. Do you know what parts were replaced? I do not know how any car seller (or dealer) can sell someone a car with fault codes - unless it was a salvage.
  11. Becker model number please?
  12. In the Porsche Cayenne Service Manual. Check with Sunset Porsche (in Oregon) to see if they have any hard copies to sell - if not, then PM Contributing Member Porschlibraian to see if he can get you one.
  13. Most of the good shops I know are on the West Coast - so perhaps a member here can recommend a good wheel repair shop on the East Coast.
