  1. IPAS are required code specific to each car to program or re-program major modules (i.e. DME, Alarm, keys, etc.). A good dealer will be able to lookup and give you a printout of your cars IPAS codes - usually with with your proof of ownership.
  2. Is this a US/Canada car or RoW? If it is a USA/Canada car then the choice "LEV". Do you have your car's IPAS codes? If not then your programming changes will be severely limited.
  3. Usually these communication errors are cables or connectors unless the car has been in an accident.
  4. Is your car as stated on the display - 2008 997 coupe? There was a PIWIS bug that misidentified cars - but I thought that was fixed.
  5. Clutch switch? An intermittent Crankshaft Position Sensor?
  6. Two beeps means you have more than one zone reporting as "open" or your alarm controller has failed. I would try programming the alarm system manually.
  7. Yes, use the tool in the lower black plug opening. The top plug is for alignment (rarely needed).
  8. 9A7 912 516 01 panel screw US MSRP $1.17 (each) (19 per car) Same on all the front underbody.
  9. 999 072 801 01 Hexagon bolt M8X20 US MSRP $1.36 (each)
  10. I assume you used the procedure in the Lost Radio Code FAQ to get your serial number? If you did not then please try that and re-post. If you did then... Chances are that your radio has been repaired by someone other than Becker. Whenever there is a repair the serial number changes and without knowing what the real serial number is - it's just a guessing game.
  11. A photo would be helpful of both the bolts and location of the missing parts.
  12. Not much in the Porsche Technic Book... "A rain sensor integrated in the foot of the interior mirror is available as an option. When it rains, the wiping speed is automatically and continuously selected to suit the conditions. In vehicles with rain sensor, the sensitivity of the rain sensor is adjusted via the potentiometer in the steering column stalk. Having the wiper controlled via the vehicle electrical system control unit means that additional information is available for automatic regulation of the wiping speed and for error diagnosis. For example, the control unit can tell from data transmitted by the sun-position sensor in the automatic climate control system that it is night and can then regulate the wiper mode more sensitively if the rain sensor is activated. The wiping speed for the wipe/wash function is also variably controlled. The wiper function is automatically set to level 2 at speeds above 110 km/h to provide the driver with a clear view as quickly as possible."
  13. I am sure that the tuning flap is controlled by the DME based a number of sensor readings.
