  1. BumperPlugs.com does great work - but with any painted service you need to care for it.
  2. :welcome: It is all covered in a DIY here: http://www.renntech.org/forums/tutorials/article/64-manual-transmission-oil-change-instructions/
  3. Just follow the procedure in the Lost Radio Code FAQ?
  4. This is starting to look like an "oil" discussion. Both points have been made - let's not make this personal or a flame war. Each person makes their own decisions. Let's just leave it there before someone says something they regret. Thanks!
  5. F12 (5A) controls the secondary air pumps as well as the water after-run pump relays. I would pull the relays individually (secondary air - then after-run pump) and see if you can narrow down the problem area.
  6. If you have a check engine light then you have fault code(s). Until we see the fault codes it would all be guesses. Make sure you use Durametric or a Porsche diagnostic tool (PIWIS or PIWIS 2) so you also get any pending fault codes.
  7. Are you selling this? If so, please offer information in English.
  8. The PCM 1 manual was before Porsche put any of them in PDF format. So unless someone ripped their binding apart and scanned it you are out of luck. And a 14 year NAV system... likely not anything like what you can get after-market today. But is does still show in the Porsche price list: WKD 475 424 99 PCM Manual -- US MSRP $25.00
  9. Try 6489 Loren, The code worked, I'm amazed you were able to help me so quickly and that you've been helping others for so long. Keep up the good work and thanks again. and that you for your contribution to help keep this site operating.
  10. Here you go... WM 4001TW 997-2 Torques.pdf Please consider a donation to this so we can continue to provide this information in the future.
  11. Please post your request in the 997-2 section along with the exact model and year of your car - thanks.
  12. If you go to the Porsche Technik book for the 997 S - the HVAC section starts at page 128. (as a Contributing Member you have access to that here) It will tell you trigger conditions that change air flow and damper settings. If it is not operating within the airflow triggers then you could have a damper (flap) that is hung up or bad. Check the conditions and if you still feel it is not performing correctly then get a PIWIS or Durametric and run through the HVAC diagnostics.
  13. Different years had different parts - it is always best to give us your exact model and year. There are two special "keys" that slide into the front the of the unit and allow you to unlock and remove it (Porsche removal tool 9570/1). Once you slide it ou you disconnect (carefully) the optical cables and the electrical cables. Installation is the reverse. The DVD drives are specific to VIN numbers as there were many changes to PCM in 2005-2007. So unfortunately this is not an easy direct swap. You will need to make sure you get a compatible replacement --and some re-coding will likely be needed to match the unit to the car and update the firmware to the latest level. A Porsche PIWIS and your IPAS codes will be required for that.
  14. :welcome: It is always helpful if you give us the exact model and year of your car please?
