  1. Approved (by Porsche) 20 inch wheels are: FRONT: 9 x 20 offset 60 mm REAR: 10 x 20 offset 55 mm also FRONT: 10 x 21 offset 50 mm REAR: 10 x 21 offset 50 mm If you have PCM then your PCM defaults will need to change with wheel selection.
  2. If they removed any chassis ground wires (or ground wires were damaged) that could cause similar issues. As well if the battery had gone bad. Both the chassis ground connections and battery should be checked. The battery should be removed and both load tested as well as specific gravity of each cell.
  3. :welcome: It would be helpful if you tell us the exact model and year of your car. Porsche has "approved" tire and wheel sizes (including offsets) that can be used without issues on your car.

  5. First -- make sure your Cayenne Turbo does NOT have 19 inch brakes - because if you do have 19 inch brakes then these wheels will not fit. Those are correct part numbers, widths, and offset - so make sure the part numbers are on the wheels also. I would ask for photos of each wheel - plus that provides you with prior knowledge of scratches, dents, or cracks.

  8. I use CRC Mass Air Flow Cleaner
  9. Do not touch the MAF with anything. Use MAF cleaner only other solvents will damage the sensor. IMHO you need to remove the MAF to properly clean it so that you can get the spray cleaner into the channel. Then let it air dry (do NOT blow it compressed air).
  10. The backup battery is the one in the rear of the vehicle. The main (starting) battery is under the left seat and closest to the engine/starter. As I understand it the heavy load of starting is when the relay kicks in and uses the backup battery to assist starting. And remember the starting circuit is much different than the system power bus - starting uses huge current draws.
  11. Intake and/or exhaust leaks. Use of a smoke machine would likely help -if you can find a shop that has one.

"If two batteries are fitted to the vehicle (main battery and backup battery), these are connected or disconnected to the bus bar in the power distributor through a relay. The switching of the two batteries is controlled independent of the load management (function is integrated in the vehicle electrical system control unit). The starter relay of the 2nd battery is actuated parallel to the starter relay. That means for every start the starter is supplied from both batteries. The backup battery is disconnected from the vehicle electrical system when the engine is switched off and then supplies just one consumer, the vehicle electrical system control unit." "On vehicles with two batteries (vehicle electrical system and starter battery), the electronics of the vehicle electrical system control unit are supplied by both batteries. The vehicle electrical system control unit evaluates the exact vehicle electrical system situation by comparing the sensed voltage with the permissible minimum voltage. On vehicles with two batteries, the load management always takes the voltage of the vehicle battery as reference. If the vehicle electrical system control unit detects a critical battery condition, the consumption is reduced. For this the CAN bus requests some of the high voltage comfort consumers to reduce or switch off their power demand. By reducing the comfort functions with the “engine running”, the battery can be charged more. With the “engine off”, discharging of the battery can be reduced through the load management. Currently the following consumers are integrated in the load management: • Heated rear window, heated outside mirrors • Heated seats, front and rear • Heated steering wheel • Heater blower (3-stage) • Interior light, reading lamps, footwell lighting • 12 V sockets"
  14. You certainly can replace all 4 and be assured you have matched handling characteristics.. But if you plan on much track time you might want to consider "street tires" and "track tires".
  15. Porsche says "always in axle pairs".
  16. A generic reader should tell you that you have a misfire on one or more cylinders (fault code 301-302-303-304-305-306 = cylinder 1-2-3-4-5-6). Fault 300 just means multiple cylinders misfiring. You can check each individual coil pack with an ohm meter. Resistance between terminals 1 and 15 at 20 °C: 0.3 - 0.7 Ω Of course check for a bad or broken spark plug and electrical connector while you are there.
  17. From the Lost Radio Code FAQ... "Can you give me a code for my PCM? These units are manufactured jointly by Siemens and Becker, and the only place where you can get the codes required is from the dealer/OPC. The PCM’s require two codes, the ICS/Siemens code and a Becker code. The ICS is the first code requested. Sorry, the only place you can get a PCM code is from a dealer/OPC."
  18. That is a Model year 2000 engine 3.2 liter built in 2000.
