  1. "2. Press together the locking lever on the plug and pull the plug off the flange. Unclip the connection lead at the omega clips. "
  2. No it will not. I have seen an airbag removed from a car and the tech bumped it while removing another part and it fired off. Please be very careful when testing or working on airbags. As I said before without a Porsche diagnostic tool you are just guessing at the bad part.
  3. You really need a Porsche diagnostic tool (PST2 or PIWIS) and a special Porsche airbag tester to safely and properly test airbag circuits. The last thing you want to do it is trigger one or more airbags.
  4. Faults 28 and 31 -- Ignition circuit, side airbag Fault 22 -- Driver's seat belt tensioner Fault 24 -- Passenger's seat belt tensioner Was the car involved in an accident? Did one or more airbags deploy? If so, then the seat belt tensioners will have to be replaced.
  5. The ABS speed sensor (5) is in the wheel hub carrier not the bearing.
  6. For MY2000 Boxster S... 999.053.054.06 Rear wheel bearing -- US MSRP $100.60 This is the latest part number and it has been updated at least four times. I highly suggest replacing both at the same time.
  7. All 5 criteria must be met to have system readiness for smog tests. That includes no pending fault codes. One pending code during a drive cycle starts the process over again.
  8. How to attach images Attachments Depending on where in the community you are posting your message at, you may be able to upload attachments to your message. There are two types of uploaders available: the default uploader and the flash uploader. Default Uploader The default uploader allows you to upload attachments one at a time. To begin, press the button. A box will appear for you to select the file on your computer that you want to attach. Select the file you want to upload. If you change your mind, you can press the button and then choose a different file. Once you have selected the file you want, press Attach the file. If there are any errors uploading the file, you will receive an error message, otherwise, you will see the attachment appear. Flash Uploader You can enable the flash uploader from your settings menu. When enabled, you will be able to easily upload more than one file at a time. To start, press Click to Attach Files. A box will appear for you to select the file or files on your computer that you want to attach. Select the file or files you want to upload. You can select more than one file at a time by holding Ctrl (on Windows) or Command (on Mac) and click on the files. Once you have selected your files and clicked "Open", they will begin uploading. If there are any errors uploading the files, you will receive an error message, otherwise, you will see the attachments appear. Managing Attachments Regardless of which uploader you use, once the files are uploaded you will see them on your screen. By default, all attachments are added to the bottom of your message, however, you can add any attachment to a particular section of your post by pressing the "Add to Post" link. If you wish to remove an attachment and have it not appear in your post, simply press the "Delete" link.
  9. I would remove the extra wires from the 4 pin connector (phone prep connector). Then put friction tape and electrical tape on the repaired wires. Or, better yet... cut them, prepare a proper (soldered) spice with heat shrink tubing. Brown - ground Yellow/Black - telephone mute Green/Black - switched 12 volts Red/Green - unswitched 12 volts
