  1. Yes, the Tip controller can not switch the valve if it is off (fuse removed) - nor can the vacuum valve switch with the engine off.
  2. Here is how the tranmission cooling works... Depending on the ATF and water temperature, the electric switch-over valve (2) is activated by the Tiptronic control unit (1) and allows a vacuum to enter the shut-off valve (3), The electric switch-over valve is activated at an ATF temperature > 85°C or water temperature >90°C. The switch-over valve is deactivated again if the ATF temperature falls below 75°C and the water temperature below 80°C. 1- Tiptronic control unit 2 - Electric switch-over valve 3 - Vacuum-controlled shut-off valve 4 - ATF-to-water heat exchanger

  4. I do not see why not. All Panamera with PCCB use 20 inch wheels (as I recall) so fit should not be an issue. Pretty sure the ABS will need to be reprogrammed as well as PSM.

  7. I would start by clearing all the codes and seeing what comes back. Are the new cats the correct part number? Likewise with the new O2 sensors.
  8. The car cranks but does not start? If so, I would suspect the CPS (Crankshaft Position Sensor) -- it's been covered here before.
  9. Try 1030 Thanks for the reply. Tried that code and it just reset to the 4 asterisks again, so I assume that isn't the right one? Thanks for the help Did you follow the instructions in the Lost Radio code FAQ to get your serial number? Yup, held TP and rotated the knob right and wrote down all the number as above. Then there has likely been an aftermarket repair of that radio. Becker may be able to help or offer an exchange radio.
  10. @grown and @Jamesx19: Please focus your questions and comments on the issue rather than the posters (per this site's Guideline/Rules). @grown: The Cayman, Boxster, and 996 all use the same basic M96 engine. @Jamesx19: There are diagnostic procedures can help identify the source of your problem. Those will likely include a compression test and borescope examination. If those prove negative then you are likely looking at a transmission removal to inspect the IMS bearing.

  14. Some of those errors are likely from a battery change or disconnect. I suggest you clear them all and see what comes back.
