  1. Yes, I took that from my Porsche 7.2 OBD II manual. Fuel trims should looked at. Since this is a bank 1 issue compare the readings to bank 2.
  2. P1126 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation, Lower Load Range, Bank 1 – Above Limit, or Below Limit This means that the fuel mixture is too rich and the DME software can not correct for it. This is not an O2 sensor problem. Possible causes are: – Incorrect signal from MAF sensor – Fuel pressure too high – Fuel injector fouled
  3. Yes, the correct part number. You might want to check with your local dealer also as I see an MSRP of $21.56.
  4. Well, if you can still find the switch that will likely fix it - but that switch will wear out again. If you replace the whole lock/switch assembly with the 2004 (and newer version) you won't likely ever need worry about it again. There are DIY instruction for both types in the 996 and 986 DIY Tutorials.
  5. P0130 Oxygen sensor in front of catalytic converter, bank 1 – signal implausible Possible cause of fault Leaking bolts on oxygen sensor Leaks in exhaust system, between engine and catalytic converter Oxygen sensor in front of catalytic converter faulty (shift in characteristics/pollution) I would start with looking for leaks in the exhaust system.
  6. Yes, it might show you fault codes and actual values (according to their chart) -- http://www.durametric.com/modelfeaturematrixv6.aspx#986
  7. Try wiggling the key/switch and see if odd things happen. If so, then you do need a new ignition switch.
  8. Start by checking fuse E7.
  9. In most cases that will clear itself with enough driving. If not then find someone with a Durametric tester and readout the fault code and report it back here.
  10. Remove the wheels/tires - unmount the tires - replace the TPMS sensors. Then - remount the tires - re-balance all wheels and tires - reinstall wheels/tires. Most tire shops do this all the time. Some even sell new sensors.
  11. Please do not type in ALL CAPS - that is shouting on the Internet. Yes, the sensor is closed module so the whole thing needs to be replaced - for each wheel.
  12. Lift the leather boot cover and see if it has a screw to tighten down or not.
  13. As I recall the fans run at high speed when the AC is on.
  14. If you decide to remove the bumper to do a thorough cleaning there is a very good video DIY here
  15. Have you checked to see that the front of the radiators are clean?
