  3. Most rough idles are caused by a dirty throttle body not letting the correct amount of air through the idle holes near the butterfly. I would always start with cleaning the throttle body. If that does not fix or improve the idle I think you need to start looking for air or vacuum leaks in both the intake and exhaust systems.

  6. You actually have many more choices than that. I sent you a PM.
  7. The best and most proper reset is through software. You can disconnect the battery and it will clear the emissions faults (not airbags or other safety related faults) -- but, you will also have to re-train the engine and transmission for normal driving. Do a search here for throttle adaption in the Cayenne section. I have split this topic off on its own since it is not related to the topic thread it was in.
  8. The 300 series are misfires - I would take care of them first with coils and plugs if needed. Then re-run the diagnostic and see what comes back.
  9. Have your battery load tested. Check your chassis ground straps for corrosion and poor connections. If those are both good then you could have a badly worn ignition switch. Sometimes just wiggling the key will make things happen with a bad ignition switch.
  10. Without actual Porsche fault codes we are just guessing at solutions.
  11. Any shop that works on Porsche cars should have the proper equipment.
  12. You need to get the fault codes read with a Porsche specific tester (i.e Durametric, or Porsche PIWIS tester). They will give you specific faults and solutions to those faults - as well as actually readouts of cam timing (if that is an issue). Just so you know... O2 sensors rarely causes problems - rather they report mixture and/or emissions problems. Without actual Porsche fault codes you are just guessing at solutions and that can get very expensive very fast.
  13. One before the cat and one after the cat on each bank. So a total of four. Do you have a fault code? Many times the fault points to a problem that is not an O2 sensor.
  14. Similar still might not be the same issue. Are your fault codes the same as the original posters'? The actuator valve just held in with a torx screw I think. Don't forget a new 0-ring (999-701-582-40).

  17. Check the vent lines under the fender for damage or leaks.
  18. Clear all the codes and see what comes back. None of those codes including the MAF code could cause idle issues. You can unplug the MAF and the car should still idle fine.
