  5. Start with the fuses and fusible links to further locate the source of the burning. Even if you can see something burned you need to look for other damage caused by the short - and the fuses will help tell you where to look.
  6. Not the headers but the mufflers - removing the mufflers makes the job easy,
  7. If you read the Lost Radio Code FAQ you would know the serial tag on the radio is unreliable. Please read the Lost Radio Code FAQ and use the procedure to display the serial number. Then post that serial number here.
  8. Have a look at this conversion... BTW... no such thing as a 2001 996 C2S.
  9. I have never done with Durametric Pro but their function matrix says it does. Let us know how it works.
  10. Check you fuel pump output. On a 17 year old car it is likely the fuel pump is worn and leaking back pressure.
  11. I am pretty sure PSM became standard on US/Canada cars in MY2001.
  12. You may need a PST2 or PIWIS - on 2001 and newer cars I think you need to turn it on in both the DME and instrument cluster.
  13. 996-102-115-63 Crankshaft pulley 997-102-119-00 lower Deflection pulley (6-speed) 997-102-119-58 lower Deflection pulley (Tiptronic)
  14. 96.102.119.58 is for Tiptronic cars and 997.102.118.00 is for 6-speed cars.
