  1. No problem I moved your post.
  2. No such thing as a "hard reset". You can reset the drive mode for the throttle/idle as well as Tiptronic drive shift points. For both of those just disconnect the battery for about 5 minutes. Do a throttle adaption on egas cars and then drive as you normally would to "relearn" throttle, idle, and shift points. It is normal for the car to run rough during the "relearn" process - but it should only take a few miles.
  3. When you lock the car with a remote key button do you get a beep? If so it is the alarm.
  4. At this point you likely will need to contact Becker. The only radios I have seen like this were repaired by a third party and that third party changed something that causes the code to no longer work (or ir changes the code). Sorry.
  5. Hmm... it should tell you where the open zone is then.
  6. A real one or chinese knock-off? A real one with the latest software should tell you what zone is open.
  7. What are you using to read the alarm system control module?
  8. Factory engine lids are not fiberglass. The coupe version is different from the cabriolet version. As are the mounting hinges. The rear spoiler drive mechanism for the C4S is also different The C4S rear bumper is also different will not likely fit your car without modification - because your car is a narrow wheelbase car and C4S is a wide body (like the Turbo). The taillights are also different and like the bumper may not fit in your narrow body car. In my opinion this is going to be an expense conversion if you want to do it right.
  9. If you are getting a beep then you are getting a fault code from the open zone.
  10. Sorry, you will need a shop with a PIWIS to verify coding or re-program the module.
  11. U0146 Gateway control unit communication Possible fault causes: - No power supply for Gateway control unit - Incorrect coding of Gateway control unit - Short circuit or open circuit of CAN Drive - Gateway control unit faulty (in most cases the cause is incorrect coding and not the Gateway control unit!) U155 Instrument cluster, communication Possible fault causes - No power supply for instrument cluster - Instrument cluster incorrectly coded - Short circuit or open circuit in the CAN display -J Instrument cluster faulty (in most cases the cause is not the instrument cluster but incorrect coding!)
  12. Please post this in the Classifieds section under "Wanted". Thanks.
  13. That 7340 code is what the Becker systems says for that serial number... so there is a good chance that someone other than Becker repaired that radio.
  14. Porsche stopped printing wiring diagrams in 2006 (as well as service manuals). This information is only available in PIWIS diagnostic systems. Even then some items like wiring diagrams don't print well.
  15. You might try salvage yards for the 996 then.
  16. Is your issue the display? If so, have a look here (only $59.99): http://shop.914rubber.com/996-986-LCD-Display-unit-wth-connectors-replacement-kit-996986LCD.htm?categoryId=-1
  17. According to Porsche (for your 1997 Boxster) only these part numbers will work: 996-653-101-03 EFR 996-653-101-CX EFR
