  1. Are you sure you changed the right switch? If you have cruise control (most US cars do) then you might have changed the cruise control switch instead of the brake light switch.
  2. A simple way to check sensor at each wheel is to unplug the sensor and connect an ohmmeter to the sensor side pins. It should read shorted or nearly zero resistance. If not the sensor is pad or the pads have worn through the sensor (as intended).
  3. If you have a "Brake Pads" light then you have an open sensor on one of your brakes. This can be due to brake pad wear or a broken wire. In the Cayenne brake pads are a separate light (and circuit) from brake fluid and emergency brake lights.

  6. I recall someone here having the same problem here a few years ago. Please give our search a try...
  7. The need to put an amp meter on the battery and measure the draw with the car parked (everything off). It should be 40-60 ma. If it is not then they need to pull a fuse on each circuit until they find the circuit with the draw. When they do they need to look at what is on that circuit. Most common is a 3rd party radio/amp that never turns off. But of course it could be a short of another component. Any 3rd party equipment on the car?
  8. Most of those codes are from the battery change. It is best to tell us the exact model and year of your car and what diagnostic tool/software you are using.
  9. It should be 2149. If that does not work then the radio was likely repaired by a 3rd party and I can not help you then. Sorry.
  10. Did you follow the procedure in the Lost Radio Code to get your correct serial number? If not, then please do so and re-submit here.
  11. I would start by finding the vacuum leak. Once that is corrected clear the codes and see what comes back.
  12. MY2008 started DFI for Cayenne V8 engines - so different fault codes and meanings (in some cases). P1353 Valve lift control cylinder X - small lift Possible fault causes: - Fuel injector faulty or borderline (opens too late/ not long enough/ not enough/ leaking) - Valve lifter of the specified cylinder faulty (intake valve of the specified cylinder gets stuck during the small lift) P1372 Valve lift control, bank 1 Possible fault causes: - Insufficient oil supply for faulty bank 1 (e.g., due to faulty scavenging restrictor in the cylinder head, dirt in the oil circuit, ... ) - Greatly differing exhaust backpressure values between the banks (e.g., due to constricted or blocked opening of an exhaust branch) - Loose contact or corrosion on connectors or lines - Solenoid hydraulic valve for valve lift control on bank 1 faulty - Incorrectly adjusted timing of the intake or exhaust camshaft of a bank - An oxygen sensor is aged or faulty P2404 Leakage diagnosis pump, Reed switch Possible fault causes: - Vacuum system leaking - The system consists of the mechanical vacuum pump (on the vehicle engine), the leakage diagnosis pump, the intake pipe switch-over valve and, where appropriate, the exhaust flaps in the rear muffler - Vacuum pump has mechanical fault - Tank vent valve stuck in closed position - Purge-air line between tank vent valve and carbon canister blocked - Short circuit to B+/ground or open circuit in signal line - Leakage diagnosis pump faulty
  13. You did not read the Lost Radio Code FAQ - read this first did you? If you had you would have seen this: "Can you give me a code for my PCM? These units are manufactured jointly by Siemens and Becker, and the only place where you can get the codes required is from the dealer/OPC. The PCM’s require two codes, the ICS/Siemens code and a Becker code. The ICS is the first code requested. Sorry, the only place you can get a PCM code is from a dealer/OPC."
