  1. You can get this fault code if the ATF is the wrong spec or if the ATF cooler is blocked. If not that you may have to replace the torque converter.
  2. The internal switch is likely broken.
  3. You do not need Durametric to turn on the CDC-3 (you do for the MOST CDC-4). The radio will recognize it once it is plugged-in and the radio is turned on.
  4. Sorry, there were no TSBs for the CDC-3 CD Changer. I installed my own and it's pretty simple. The cable comes through the firewall behind the battery. There is a rubber plug that can be cut (a slot) for the wires and they come out above the accelerator pedal near the center console. Just be sure and use cable ties to keep the wires from dropping down. Then it just plugs into the back of the radio.
  5. It should be pretty much the same though the part number for a Tip is: 997 607 018 04
  6. A clean chassis ground should work fine for ground.
  7. It is always helpful if you give the exact model and year of your car... thanks!
  8. If you have Durametric you can run a fault check and see which sensor(s) or whether they are all reading on. Usually, it is just one or two sensors - so you just replace the bad ones.
  9. Yes, it is a definite possibility.
  10. Different names for the same part.
  11. Yes, it is. 986 and 996 use many of the same parts.
  12. 986 606 112 04 Pulse Sender -- US MSRP $263.14
  13. For MY 2002 and older the radio code can be stored in the DME - but it is not used. The radio code for those years is only used in the radio itself. In MY2003 (and newer) the code validated up by the radio by the DME.
  14. PayPal also is our credit card processor - just choose to not open a PayPal account. Thanks!
  15. Two suggestions to help diagnose... 1. Clear the faults and try and drive the car - re-check the faults. 2. Check your battery - both load and specific gravity. A weak or old battery can cause all sorts of odd electrical faults. Any battery over 4 years old should be replaced (IMHO).
  16. When asking for part numbers it is best if you give us the exact model and year of your car.
  17. Try 9876 No gofundme page as costs of running this site are ongoing - you are welcome to donate (especially if you can do it annually).
  18. Please do not post copyrighted materials (or links to them) here. Please re-read the board Guidelines/Rules that you agreed to when you registered here.
