  1. Yes, as long as it is not too big or too small. 1. Lever out the small cover, at the top right next to the ignition key, at the ignition switch using a screwdriver. 2. Then, push a pen, for example, into the opening next to the key, turn the ignition key to position 0 and pull it out.
  2. Did you use the procedure in the Lost Radio Code FAQ to get your serial number? If not, please do so and re-submit. Thanks.
  3. Have you removed and cleaned your throttle body? This needs to be done probably yearly. Also, carefully remove the cold start valve (do not lose the paper gasket - or replace if damaged) and clean it so it moves freely.
  4. I believe inserting the key releases the switch to turn if the key indents match up. So yes, push to activate - turn to unlock/activate. Also, the round ring and ignition switch require a special tool (supplied with the car) to release the ignition switch from the dash.
  5. Is it the same issue - "sticky ignition switch". Or, is it just hard to start - please describe.
  6. This is correct for the 997-1. Older 9x6 series have the one screw hold-down.
  7. Have you opened the keyfob and carefully inspected the buttons? They do wear out. If that is the case it is time to replace your 17-year-old key fob.
  8. I gave you a code yesterday for a different radio. What's up?
  9. Sometimes cleaning and light lubrication help and sometimes as stated above things are just plain worn out.
  10. What scan tool did you use to get that code? Are you sure about that fault code? That is not an engine fault code to my knowledge.
