  1. Please read the Lost Radio Code FAQ and follow the procedure there.
  2. The first thing to always check is for obstructs that may have been caught under the seat. Next is fuses. Check them with an ohm meter individually out of the car. After that you can check the switches - again with an ohm meter. Worst case is a dead motor.
  3. See ad below for site advocate/sponsor - Sunset Porsche - Porsche parts at up to 35% discounts. I never buy from anyone else. Be sure and tell them that you are a RennTech.org member.
  4. Usually (on a 996) the clutch release point is very high - near the top of the pedal. That is normal for a 996. When the clutch plate is going (or nearly gone) the clutch pedal will get harder. That has been my experience.
  5. There are twelve more pages to this fix...
  6. I had a 76 911 that I tracked (a lot) and it's clutch had more than 135,000 on it and was still strong. So I think a good part is how you treat it. Power shifts trying to make the tires chirp is a sure way to abuse the clutch as are drag strip starts. Likely first step is to change your brake/clutch fluid if you have not done so in the last two years. Then see what you have.
  7. The olde part number says to use the new part number in the Porsche system. That usually means there is a design change that makes the part better or in some cases a manufacturer change.
  8. My bad - perhaps item 23 or item 12.
  9. A lot more than two valves. You will need a tester to locate the bad solenoid/valve.
  10. P0410 Secondary Air Injection System - Signal Implausible (Cylinders 1 - 3) P1411 Secondary Air Injection System - Signal Implausible (Cylinders 4 - 6) I doubt your O2 sensors had anything to do with the problem.
  11. You should keep checking it as the trapped air escapes it will likely need topping up again.
  12. That light likely means one of two things. 1. You did not vacuum fill your coolant after the water pump change and you have air trapped in the engine (causing hot spots). 2. Your coolant tank sensor is bad and needs to be replaced. See JFP's descriptions in the post above.
  13. Have you tried your second key? Try reversing the battery for a few seconds - remove it - insert it the proper way and then try it. How old is the car's battery? If it is 4 years old or older I would strongly consider replacing it.
  14. There is a Porsche TSB for this: TSB 6924 1/04 Airbag Warning Light Comes On: Fault Codes 45, 46, 48 and 49 Your local dealer should be able to either do this for you or supply a copy for you to do. It focuses on poor grounds and if that does not fix the problem then replacing the buckles.
  15. Sorry, that made no difference the program still says: 9280
