  1. From the Lost Radio Code FAQ... Please DO NOT PM me or email me (or anyone else helping with the codes) your radio code request - we will only answer requests in that one thread. Try 5427
  2. Could be the starter solenoid, or the egas solenoid, or the on engine sport exhaust solenoid, etc. I think you need to try and listen where it is coming from while someone else turns the key.
  3. Sorry, people don't always ask about their car. In a 2004 you have a bunch of solenoids - even more with options like sport exhaust. While that does seem rather loud it could be the egas throttle valve setting up starting, the fuel vapor and over-pressure return on the fuel pump/lines, or the air pump readying for startup. I don't think it is anything to worry about.
  4. and thank you for your donation! Fairly common problem. Read about it and how to fix it here:
  5. I suggest you clear them all - then drive the car and re-check the faults.
  6. Eaxct model and year of the car, please...
  7. P1362 Valve Lift Control, Cylinder 4 - Above Limit Possible fault cause: - A valve does not switch to large lift - Several valves (various cylinders) do not switch to large lift P1371 Valve Lift Control Checksum Error - Above Limit Possible fault cause: - A valve does not switch to large lift - Several valves (various cylinders) do not switch to large lift Could be a bad valve. Best do a compression test. And/or diagnose further with a PST2.
  8. You did not read the Lost Radio Code FAQ ... "Can you give me a code for my PCM? These units are manufactured jointly by Siemens and Becker, and the only place where you can get the codes required is from the dealer/ OPC. The PCM’s require two codes, the ICS/Siemens code, and a Becker code. The ICS is the first code requested. Sorry, the only place you can get a PCM code is from a dealer/ OPC."
  9. They should fit. Just be aware that if your car did not have the same style seats (i.e. comfort seats, or heated seats), then your car does not have the wiring for those.
  10. Sometime during the production of the 997.1 the E12 bolt changed to a standard hexagonal bolt. Not sure of the wrench size but I would suspect 10 mm.
  11. P0503 Vehicle speed sensor - no signal/above limit value Possible cause of fault: - No signal or faulty signal from PSM control module - Rear right wheel speed sensor faulty - CAN data bus faulty - PSM control module faulty Fault code 1682 - Speed signal, rear right wheel Possible cause of fault - Signal from PSM control module does not correspond to expected signal (please read out fault memory) - Signal from PSM control module does not correspond to expected signal (implausible signal) I would check the right rear speed sensor - replace if needed - then re-test.
  12. Not to my knowledge - unless a Porsche PIWIS is used.

  14. P0455 Leakage in fuel tank system Possible fault causes: - Tank cap not closed correctly, leaking or missing - Purge air line leaking - Tank vent leaking - DMTL (Tank Leakage Diagnostics Module) leaking - Leakage in fuel tank system You might need a smoke machine to find the source of the leak. The tank leakage test is performed only on USA vehicles. Construction of the tank leakage diagnostics module: The diagnostics module consists of an electric motor with a small air pump, switch-over valves, and a reference nozzle. In addition, the module is heated so as to prevent the forming of condensation and ice. The procedure of the function: - The pump is operated via an electric motor and conveys air through the reference leak. The power consumed during this process is determined. - The switch-over valve switches and the air current is now directed into the fuel tank. The power consumed during this process is also determined. After a waiting period dependent on the fuel tank fuel level, it must be at least as high as the power consumption was during the reference leak test if the tank system is leak-free. - The system is identified by leaking if the power consumption is lower during the actual leakage test as it was during the reference leak test. - An evaluation of the power consumption levels when the pump is started and after the switch-over valve has switched serves to identify faults within the tank leakage diagnostic module (e.g. pump blocked, motor spins at idle speed, the valve does not switch etc.). - The diagnosis of heating, motor, and switch-over valve is performed via the output stage of the DME control module.
  15. Use the procedure in the Lost Radio Code FAQ to verify your serial number. Even the tag can be wrong if the unit was ever repaired. Use the procedure then report your (internal serial number) here.
