  1. Sorry, but I think that the fix is likely temporary. The connectors corroded and that is why Porsche replaced them with gold contact connectors.
  2. A bad MAF would not usually cause misfires on only two cylinders. You may have another problem with the P1125 but I would fix the misfires first - clear the codes and see if it comes back. The correct Porsche part number for your MY car's spark plugs is: 996.170.207.91 They should be: 14FGR 6KQU
  3. 996.613.155.10.A05 black mat finish spoiler switch -- MSRP $33.84.
  4. Loosen the drive shaft nut before you raise the car. Then disconnect it at the wheel carrier.
  5. P0304 Misfire, Cylinder 4, Damaging to Catalytic Converter P0306 Misfire, Cylinder 6, Damaging to Catalytic Converter P1125 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation Area 1 (Cylinders 4 - 6) - Lean Threshold If the CEL is flashing it should not be driven. I would start by looking for cracked coil packs on cylinders 4 and 6.

  8. The clutch pedal bad news is - no. The brake pedal however can be adjusted by adjusting the pushrod.

  10. Jonas, Have a look at Carrera TSB 2005 Carrera 4 – Running Out of Fuel. I think this same principle applies to TT since it has the same fuel tank configuration (due to 4 wheel drive).
  11. I think a re-calibration might be the first thing I would try - especially since it is so consistent.

  13. The full Aerokit Cup factory directions (as well as the Aerokit II) are in Porsche TSBs.   14. Correct. The MOST network and controllers do not exist in his car. In this case he is much better off to go aftermarket.
  15. ATE Super Blue is the exact same fluid at ATE Type 200 (which is clear to yellow). The properties are identical. ATE Type 200 is appoved by Porsche and Super Blue is not - go figure. Changing out the brake booster is not a small job - because if you have an older car some changes have to be made to fit the newer version. The TSB and service manual say it about a 3 hour job. Perhaps you should look for an independent shop?
  16. Have you ever had the fuel tank, fuel level sensor or instrument cluster replaced? If so, it sounds like they did not calibrate your fuel level sensor. If none of those have been replaced then you could have a bad wiring connection (fuel sensor to instrument cluster), a bad fuel sensor, or a bad cluster. The fuels sensor is with the fuel pump in the tank - so even inspection will be a pain. To calibrate the fuels sensor they need to empty the gas tank, fill it with an exact amount of fuel (28 liters) and then use a PST2 or PIWIS to set the calibration.
  17. If that is the problem, you will want to adjust the front bumper cover not the front trunk lid.
  18. Your clutch is hydraulic so wear should have little or no effect on height/feel. When was the last time your brake/clutch fluid was changed? If it is over 2 years - then it needs to be changed and both the brakes and clutch system bled. It sounds like you have air (or possibly) a leak in the system.
  19. Yes the hubs are different but I don' think the calipers are different - except for color. I've seen C4 (silver) calipers on a C2.
  20. If you have to replace the control module then the program (with access codes) will need to be transferred with a PST2 or PIWIS. If the transfer fails for some reason then a dealer will need to get an IPAS code from Porsche to program the new module.
  21. Those lights are controlled by the alarm/central locking controller (under the drivers seat on LHD cars). You might want to check the connections. The functions are easily tested with a PST2 or PIWIS.
