    You may want to ask to have a PCNA rep be present during tear down. Certainly a bad seal install could cause the seal to blow out and lose all of the oil. But just like an autopsy these things need to be investigated by an unbiased professional (IMHO of course).

    Nothing special here. You just need to support the engine while you change out the mounts.

    If there is no oil leaking on to the spark plugs or on the ground - then you are likely fine. TSB 1/98 1546 New O-Ring on Oil Protection Pipe -- dated 5-14-98 states that any cars built after November 24, 1997 should already have the newer o-rings. That would include all US cars.

    If the coolant is not on the ground and the oil level is high - then it does not sound good.

    Cleaning and lubing might help. It could be a sticky microswitch also - so cleaning might help that too.

    Chances are your noise is a bad bumper alignment. They should loosen the bumper mounting and then retighten it while someone holds it is position. The front bumper should be even with the front hood or you will get noise.

    Yes, there is some tuning in that engine. I have seen numbers quoted as low as 420 HP and as high as 489. Maybe that is why the manual picks a number in between? YMMV

    M9670-645 is a 360 KW (or about 483 HP). G9650-40 is a 6 speed transmission.

    Yes, the clutch is normal. And, as I said if the clicking goes away in a couple of minutes then that is normal too.

    Both are normal. The clutch release may seem high compared to other cars - but the clutch is hydraulic so that is where it is. The noise at startup is likely the hydraulic lifters. If the car hasn't been started for a few days this is normal. It should go away in the first 2-3 minutes.

    These come directly from Porsche - so what you see is what I got from them. Usually they do have prices and we post a US and Canadian order guide with their respective prices. Chances are there will be an update in the next 30 days. Go to that download page and click the link near the bottom "Notify me when this file is updated" and you will get an email as soon as it is updated.

    Remove the cover under the passenger side dash. Then remove the 2 screws that hold the filter cover in place. The filter slides straight down. Install is the reverse.
