  1. Yes, you need the IPAS code for the key and you will need a shop with a PST2 or a PIWIS tester.
  2. Those springs are for a standard C2 Coupe. Can you tell us what you want to do? What car do you have and what springs do you want?
  3. Most ( get it MOST) of the connections on PCM2 are fiber optic.
  4. I don't think that foam piece is a Porsche part - certainly not a 996 or 997 part.
  5. Have someone check to see that your brake lights come on when step on the brake pedal and/or check the switch itself with an ohm meter.
  6. Odd the part number does not come up in the latest Porsche parts list - but it is still on the retail price list. Mercedes and BMW use the same oil filter wrench - make sure you get one that is the right diameter and the same number of flats. That has been covered here many times.
  7. 000.044.500.29 is an M030 Sport Suspension (10 mm lower) for a MY02-MY05 Carrera Cabriolet, 2WD, 6 speed.
  8. A generic scanner will not read ABS or PSM fault codes they will only read DME (engine) fault codes. This can sometimes be caused by either a bad MAF sensor or a bad brake light switch -- both should be checked.
  9. I don't think there are that many Boxster owners with Tips that have had problems so please be patient and we'll try to help out. Have you tried disconnecting the shiftlock solenoid wires from the harness and then applying a 12 volt signal to the solenoid to see if it is working properly? That would rule out the solenoid and likely lead you back to the ignition switch.
  10. Do you have the charger on the car and the PIWIS? The charger has to be on the car - minimum 12 volts is checked prior to any programming so that you don't corrupt the program.
  11. I think you may need to get the air suspension re-calibrated with a PST2 or PIWIS tester.
  12. 996.559.729.00 Bracket for flap -- US List Price $2.13
  13. Congrats! and :welcome:
  14. Which item(s) please?
  15. It works fine for me - just click on the link.

  17. Recall laws vary by country. In the US a "recall" is a government ordered action. Whereas manufacturers can also do voluntary service actions - Porsche calls these Workshop Campaigns. Workshop Campaigns are usually done the next time your vehicle is in the dealers workshop for any other service. Workshop Campaigns are covered in Porsche's TSB system. Contributing Members can view all the Porsche TSBs here. US Recalls can be found at: http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems...ecallsearch.cfm
  18. You need the dealer version PET with complete part location and the workshop manuals so you can do some services yourself. If you need these ( and its obvious you do.. email or PM me) Here is a sample to show you a bit from the 997 workshop manuals. Is the procedure the same for a 996? Thank you, Phillipj Yes.
  19. Is it water or coolant (sweet smell). If it is coolant then you likely have a heater core/hose leak. If it is condensation water then your drain line is likely plugged.
  20. 1. Water channel 2. Water collection tray 3. Water drain tube 4. Water channel, side section 5. Evaporator of heating and air-conditioning system 6. Tank tray 7. Radiator tank 8. Inner panel of convertible top compartment lid and http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...ost&p=69808
  21. Scouser has updated his excellent VIN Decoder. The VIN Decoder is here. Now includes a built in help and explanation of each value. Many thanks to Scouser for his continued efforts, work, and updates to this fine tool! :clapping:
  22. Model and year of car please...
  23. Let me know if Gert confirms that they work in a 996TT. Thanks!
