  3. I would use the 12 volts from the telephone plug - the OBD II needs +12 volts for some programming functions. The telephone connector has been covered here many many times - please do a search.
  4. It should be there behind the front bumper.
  5. Porsche has never spec'ed 19" wheels for the 996 -- only the 997 (987, Cayman, 997GT3, and 997 TT). For those wheels and the narrow body 997 they are: Front - 55 mm Rear - 67 mm with a 235/35 x19 tire in front

  8. Loren, Is this the same for 01 TT? Yes, on a MY01 internally it goes to different places but that is the same signal.
  9. I don't recall any codes for PCM2 - but some PCM2 owner can verify that. The easiest place to pick 12 volts is the phone prep connector (if you car has one).
  10. On a MY05 Turbo S the easiest place to get it is the Violet/Green wire that goes to the OBD II (diagnostic plug).
  11. The numbers I gave you are for an RoW 40th Anniversary Carrera Coupe - according to to my June 2007 Porsche parts list. The shocks don't have color codes like the springs so you would have to read the part numbers off them.
  12. Well, lets hope that all he changed was the springs. A 40th Anniversary Carrera Coupe is basically a C2, with a C4S front bumper, sport suspension, and the X51 engine ( and all the markings). The springs for a 40th Anniversary Carrera Coupe should be... Front: 996.343.531.19.504 Rear: 996.333.531.26.504
  13. Yes, you need the IPAS code for the key and you will need a shop with a PST2 or a PIWIS tester.
  14. Those springs are for a standard C2 Coupe. Can you tell us what you want to do? What car do you have and what springs do you want?
  15. Most ( :lol: get it MOST) of the connections on PCM2 are fiber optic.
  16. I don't think that foam piece is a Porsche part - certainly not a 996 or 997 part.
  17. Have someone check to see that your brake lights come on when step on the brake pedal and/or check the switch itself with an ohm meter.
  18. Odd the part number does not come up in the latest Porsche parts list - but it is still on the retail price list. Mercedes and BMW use the same oil filter wrench - make sure you get one that is the right diameter and the same number of flats. That has been covered here many times.
  19. 000.044.500.29 is an M030 Sport Suspension (10 mm lower) for a MY02-MY05 Carrera Cabriolet, 2WD, 6 speed.
  20. A generic scanner will not read ABS or PSM fault codes they will only read DME (engine) fault codes. This can sometimes be caused by either a bad MAF sensor or a bad brake light switch -- both should be checked.
  21. I don't think there are that many Boxster owners with Tips that have had problems so please be patient and we'll try to help out. Have you tried disconnecting the shiftlock solenoid wires from the harness and then applying a 12 volt signal to the solenoid to see if it is working properly? That would rule out the solenoid and likely lead you back to the ignition switch.
  22. Do you have the charger on the car and the PIWIS? The charger has to be on the car - minimum 12 volts is checked prior to any programming so that you don't corrupt the program.
  23. I think you may need to get the air suspension re-calibrated with a PST2 or PIWIS tester.
