  1. Hmm.. haven't seen that. Do you have a lot of corrosion? Any pictures?
  2. And look for corrosion at the socket or wiring connections.
  3. You did not read the Lost Radio Code FAQ... "CDR-23 (or later): These radios do not have a security code - that is, not that the user enters. These radios are security tested on the MOST (fiber optic bus) system to see if they are the "programmed" radio. The radios are programmed and recognized by the car’s DMEand can only be replaced by a shop with a PST2 or PIWIS. These radios will not request a code when battery power is disconnected."
  4. Yes, Porsche supports most all models indefinitely.
  5. Porsche does not use black plastic tape. Solid brown wires are usually grounds. Perhaps a third party radio installation?
  6. It been covered here also - and there is a bit more. If you want the oil pressure gauge to work then you need to run a wire from the sensor to the cluster. Not to mention the convertible top dash lights to work correctly.
  7. Yes, replacing a fan does not require draining coolant. I doubt both fans would die at once - plus you say you can run them through Durametric. If you clear the codes and run the car (with AC on) which is the first fault code?
  8. The airbag control unit is usually right below the PCM - so check that wires were not damaged or accidentally disconnected.
  9. PM me your VIN and I will lookup your options.
  10. Enough - back on topic. We can debate IMS bearings all day just like oil. The original posters question has been answered.
  11. 7PP 907 527 A Temperature Sensor - US MSRP $69.82 As I recall the sensor is in the ducting panel under the dash.
  12. 996 612 070 51 Wiring Harness should work for all coupe models including MY2001.
  13. It would be listed on the factory options list.
