  1. it is not quite that easy - the TSB for installing the Automatic Dimming Rearview Mirror is 5 pages long.
  2. :welcome: Most of the relays are under the dash near the fuse panel. The horn relay is in position 10 here. There are a few relays under the carpet panel near the DME (behind the rear seats). If you are having a horn problem - chances are it is not the relay but a bad horn(s). They are not very good horns and a number of us have replaced them with air horns.
  3. See the post right before yours... Where do I top up the pentosin fluid? does it do into the pump or the rams? The hydraulic cylinder can only be filled in a retracted position. Position the hydraulic cylinder vertically and fill with 5 ml Pentosin (per hydraulic cylinder) using a syringe.
  4. The sensor is in the side of the tank (item 14) - they have been known to go bad.
  5. could be a dirty sensor - could be you have a leak?
  6. Try wiggling the switch while the lights are on. If there is any flickering or other strange occurrences then you likely need a new headlight switch.
  7. :welcome: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...ost&p=35767
  8. Or you can just read the battery thread here.
  9. If it came with a code tag then likely yes. If you do not have the code tag then you have a problem.
  10. Likely either a bad socket or corroded wiring.
  11. Check your option list - if M490 is not there then you do not have an amp.
  12. Porsche says that up to 1 quart each 1000 miles is normal.
  13. Please do a search here - Porsche approved coolant has been discussed here many times.
  14. Search for +instrument +cluster +bulb
  15. You will need to remove the front bumper and take them off from the back side.
  16. Try 1096 or 1094
  17. Lost Radio Code - post your request here
  18. Right front pretty much has to be a hose or radiator. You need to pull the fender liner and have a look.
  19. Both twist and pull - the push on type fit very tight.
  20. Only the aluminum/leather and CF/leather knobs have a set screw. If there is no set screw then you have a twist off knob. Best to put the top down and pull harder. Be careful to not hit yourself it the face too.
  21. 955.731.514.01.01C Sorry, I do not know what wiring changes are needed - Porsche never issued a TSB on this.
  22. Yes, just pull it straight out. It is likely stuck a little.
  23. A4 is unswitched power on the radio. A8 is ground. If you have the Telephone prep that is behind the front console then there is both switched and unswitched power on that. There is another optional telephone prep that resides (if you have it) under the passenger seat as I recall.
  24. Most US cars have Porsche's Telephone Prep. There should be both switched and unswitched on that connector (under the passenger seat I think).
  25. It's hard to say. Some cars owners idle more than others, heavy traffic areas mean less miles more hours, etc., etc. The engine hours "should" be reset when changing the engine - but I do not think that always happens. Porsche doesn't quote TBO for their street cars only their race cars (which is usually 50 operating hours). We have already seen many early Boxster go well over 150,000 miles without a rebuild.
