  1. My program cam up with a code 2 digits different - 1268 Let us know which one works. back again [working on the car all day ...another issue] ......... thx, but looks like the radio must have been replaced at some time; found this info thru "T/P" scrolling method >>> Becker CDR-220 4462 X5017454 again much thx!! Dux Try 7142 or 7141
  2. Updated... I have a PIWIS, PST2, Durametric Software, and Car Code OBD-2 software. I am in Roseville California (near Sacramento).

  5. Please do a search - I've posted it here several times.
  6. I wouldn't do it. A C4 is heavier (4WD). So, the spring rates and shock damping is different.
  7. Try 0567 or 0565
  8. Sorry, but TSBs both cost money (we have to buy a yearly subscription) and are copyrighted material. You are allowed to VIEW them here as a Contributing Member. Becoming a Contributing Member here is an option.
  9. I think it is because of the softer metals they use now. The pickle fork prys the joint apart and the newer style tool presses out the joint. At least that is my take. The recommendation I give is from Porsche and confirmed by a Porsche shop foreman with over 20 years at Porsche.
  10. Guess NOT MUCH :help: HERE .... quite :( Disappointed ... Have you tried asking the folks that make that particular steering wheel? Most folks upgrade to the Porsche 3 spoke wheel for the airbag and safety.
  11. Hmm... all of those point to bad wiring (connectors disconnected or broken wires) or all three are bad (not likely in opinion). Only other thing it could be is a bad DME. If all teh wiring looks good then perhaps try disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes to "reboot" the DME. You will need to let the DME relearn after the reboot but just takes a little driving.
  12. Try 5045 or 5043
  13. :welcome: Last time I bought an owners manual from Sunset Imports (Porsche Parts at Dealer Cost) - it was $18. The Lost Radio Code thread is here -- please do not start a new thread for your radio code.
  14. Are any of these DVD's still for sale anywhere? Regards, Maurice. 9X6 Werks DIY / Upgrades DVD Set
  15. Yes, that's pretty much the easiest way to test it. You are correct - no oil pressure until you hook up the sender and wire.
  16. Yes, that cluster should work (providing the cluster itself works). There have been a few bad clusters sold on eBay - so beware. You should check out this DIY (if you haven't already seen it) Carrera Instrument Cluster Transplant To Boxster
  17. P0133 Signal Period for Oxygen Sensor Ageing, Bank 1 – Above/Below Limit The diagnosis of "oxygen sensor aging" helps to identify oxygen sensors ahead of TWC that lead to emission limits being exceeded because of aging. During the diagnosis of oxygen sensor aging, the DME control module monitors the period (oscillating frequency) of the sensor signal. With an old sensor, the duration of the period is too long, i.e. it is more difficult for the sensor to diffuse oxygen into the exhaust gas. Reasons for this could be frequent driving in the lower load range (city driving, short distances, etc.) or a contaminated sensor. If it comes back you likely need to replace that O2 sensor. Most O2 sensors age beyond spec or fail after 60,000 plus miles.
  18. Yes, it would appear from the schematic that the alternator is grounded through the chassis.
  19. To charge the battery it has to go through that 8 plug socket on the engine and have a good ground that it the same ground as the battery.
  20. I asked you to please post this in the thread that has already been started - we do not need 400 lost radio code threads. Try 4922 or 4920 This topic is closed.
  21. What is the part number on the cluster? (Let's make sure it will work in your wife's car)
  22. Welcome... but please look for existing posts on the subject before you start a new thread. There is already a post on Lost Radio Codes here. That thread will also tell you how to get your radio serial number - which is needed to guess your code. I am closing this topic - please post your request with serial number in the Lost Radio Code topic - thanks.
  23. Well, that would depend if there is a new fault code or the same one. If it is the same fault code then I would start looking at wiring/connectors. If it is a different code then we need to know what that is.
  24. If the MAF is bad then the readings it is giving the DME are bad. So the fuel - air mixture will be bad at high RPM. You can disconnect the MAF and drive around all day and never feel a difference - as long as you stay under 4500-5000 RPM.
