  1. Usually that means the connection is open - not connected. Like someone remove the steering wheel and forgot to hook it back up - or broke the clock spring on the steering wheel connection. Best take the steering wheel off and have a look -- with the battery disconnected and the key OUT of the ignition.
  2. I would ask your alignment shop. I think you likely have -1.5 to almost -2.0 max with stock. See what they think the max on your car as stock is. You likely should by a couple sets.
  3. Stage 2 over revs mean that the rev limiter could not control the over rev (bad). Usually stage 2 over revs come from missed down shifts or spinning the car (backwards) and not getting the clutch in fast enough.
  4. And you have checked the clutch interlock switch?

  6. It is both standard and an option - let me explain. All Boxster's have the capability once it is "turned on" in the instrument cluster. To change the display you need to either add the OBC stalk (it goes beneath the turn signal stalk) or add a dash switch. Do a search here for OBC hack -- there is lots of info.

  8. I get the same code. Where did you get the serial number? off a card or from the radio (as described earlier in this thread?
  9. ALL Cayenne radio systems are MOST (fiber optic) so - yes you would have to replace most everything.
  10. Yes, they will work all model year Cayennes - including 2nd gen MY08 and newer.
  11. Well, you can certainly cause damage if you jack at the wrong places - or if the jack slips. IMHO you are less likely to cause damage on a GT3 or TT engine than a Boxster/Carrera engine - because the case structures are quite different.
  12. Jeez... tell them to buy a hockey puck. I think you are ok if there are no further cracks on chips.
  13. It would be very rare to have a leaking RMS on a TT engine. The TT engine is a derivative of the 993/964 engine - not the M96 Boxster/Carrera engine.
