A slight improvement on wellsm's technique on removing the spoiler on a 2003 or 2004 Boxster S. Under the rear edge of the wing you will find 4 small holes. Rather than removing the end caps, you can insert a screwdriver into each of these holes in turn, and press while lifting the front edge of the painted part. Pressing will move a plastic hook (molded into the inside of the painted part) off of the metal catch built into the wing. If you remove the end caps and move the hooks on the two ends, that will work, but you'll find there are two additional hooks in the middle of the painted part, and those you can release by inserting a screw driver through the hole beneath the rear edge of the painted part. You might want to pry off an end cap and watch as you release the end hook with a screw driver. That will help you understand what you're doing and how hard to press. If you press too hard, you could break the hook.1 point
