hey Guys,

could anyone tell if the new GT3 backbumper is the same on the 996 Facelift version?

if it is the same, is it possible to fit it w/o problem on a 996 (<MY02)?

cheers,

Tony

The rear bumper on RoW MY02 on and the GT3 are the same. Part number 996 505 411 12.

(Note: This is not the US rear bumper part number)

The bumper reinforcement and heat shield changed in MY02 also. The heat shields likely because of the engine change. It looks like it may fit... but you will have to give it a try.

Same engine lid for 2002 C2 and C4 Coupe and Cab. C4S is different, as is Turbo, GT3, etc.

Tony, the part nos. for the GT3 and 996 covers have different part numbers. Also related pieces have different nos. as well. I'd be concerned about the difference in stock spoiler opening in the lid compared to the GT3 opening. I guess it's possible that the lid shell will fit though. Personally, I can't tell, either way.

hey Don,

that's thru, but when I can get the Tequipment AeroKit Cup II (spoiler+lid)

aerokitcup2_q.jpg

that would be the optimum because the lid is adjusted to the normal Coupé air intake and the fan, right?

cheers,

Tony

GT3 mk2 (996 MY02>) backbumper installed on pre-MY02!

no major complication with the installation and you will only need the following parts:

"heat protection" bumper middle section part no: 996.505.475.02

"license plate light" part no: 1J6.943.021 (there are 2 version A&B)

but I never thought of that and we modified the current to fit as temporary.

cheers,
