Just did my first GT3 oil change. A few notes:

- Not much oil comes from the crankcase, but be prepared for it to gush out of the oil tank. In the fraction of a second it took me to remove the plug, it splattered everywhere! What a mess.

- The oil filter housing is quite difficult to get off compared to other 996/986 housings (which I am used to being able to remove by hand; you cant do that with these, which are on quite snug).

- In my 2005 it took a full 9 quarts to get it a bar or two from full.

- When you get a replacement filter, they will give you the big O ring, but not the little O ring which goes on the plastic shaft which sticks out of the filter. You will most likely need to request that specifically.

- You don't need a suction tool to get the little bit of oil out of the filter housing. You can just as easily sop it up using a towel or rag.

That is pretty much it.
