You do know the Homelink control module is behind the front bumper?

1. Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

2. Using a small screwdriver, carefully unclip and remove the cover for the fastening screws at the openings (arrows) provided.

3. Unscrew the two fastening screws.

4. Unclip cover for motor for sliding roof at the rear to the left and right (arrows A) and push it out to the front towards the windscreen (arrow B).

Loren, I'm trying to come up with conversion for my 996 and I was wondering about using parts from the 997, Cayman. Do you have any exploded views on these installs?

Sorry about double post computer seemed not to show original last night. The targa light console is an oval with no discernable depressions to cover screws. Would like to know how to remove it ,howeber it bears no resemblence to the illustration. Thankjs
