I changed my battery and found out that my radio was replaced sometime before I owned my 99 cab. So, I have the original radio code card but it does me no good.

I just pulled the radio. Can anyone help me?

It's a CR220

Mod# BE 4362

S/N: 15031442

Thanks in advance...

Dan

I have a Becker radio decoder. 4 and 5 digit. It was given to me by people on a UK message board.

Thing is, is does not get the correct code all the time.

The code is based on the serial number. Math.

If Loren is not looking, I will send it to someone who can make it work 100% of the time.

Like someone is going to steal a Becker radio....

If your radio serial number ends in 1442 then the junk decoder says the unlock code is 4850.

Loren PM'd me the code and it worked perfectly! Thank you both for the help.

But...

2 days ago someone on this board PM me for the code for a CDR210 with a serial number ending in 7910. The decoder says 3111. I told the person that if 3111 did not work to try 3113. Neither worked.

The person went on a website and got a code that worked. The code was 3212.

The plus 2 theory did not work in this case.

Hey Guys,

Me Too! :)

Here's another one to test out your theory:

Cdr 220

Be6625

25013170

From my previous threads, I yanked the radio in my 996 to put in a Mac Mini Carputer and don't have the code to go back. I'm caught in a spot where i've been too busy to move forward. I've had no music for about a month!

Thanks,

-Joe

I've had some decode problems with this software too, but they were because the serial number on the sticker wasn't actually the serial number of the unit. I suggest you use the technique here to get the serial number (it also saves you having to remove the unit) -- paragraph 4:

http://mike.focke.googlepages.com/radiocodes

PS FWIW the CR220 I have is +1 on the junk decoder solution, the CR22 +1 (another one had the dodgy serial number), CR21 +2, and the two CDR22s, +0 and +2. Go figure. These were sticker serial numbers and not extracted as above. I should retry this someday. There is another CR22 I haven't tried yet.

I have 2 code cards that came with used owners manuals I bought off ebay.

The top card has 3262 as the serial number and 8694 as the code. The decoder says 8694 is the code. So the decoder agrees with the code card.

The bottom card has 3048 as the serial number and 9109 as the code. But the decoder says 8997 is the code.

Strange....

You are up late :) It's just past midday here...

I bet the serial number revealed by the unit would have been different to the one on the card.

Try 4376

It Didnt Work :(

From another post I went into the TP menu and confirmed the Serial number; However the 4-digit number was different than the external sticker:

4462

25013170

24/99

00

Does this change anything?

And 4375. Then you'll probably be locked out for a while.

Any idea how long it locks things out for after the second set of bad attempts?

When the first code didnt' work this morning, I tried just puntching buttons. It locked for about a minute at WAIT and then came back. I kept pressing and got into a WAIT which its been on now for about 14 hours. I go back outside and check it every couple of hours but still WAIT... I tried disconnecting the battery for a bit, no change. I'm getting impatient as I want to try the suggestions above. :)

Then those number didn't work, any other suggestions?
If those numbers don't work then you will need to contact a dealer or Becker.

As I recall Becker charges $35 so you might want to try your dealer first.
