- Description Purchased in Houston, moved to Calgary. Base model 987, with CPO warranty and options including Sport Chrono package and Bose 'upgrade'. Guards Red wasn't my first choice, but am planning on this being a daily driver, including winters, and if I'm sliding through a stop sign at the bottom of a hill the high visibility might be helpful <img src="http://www.renntech.org/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> It's been to a 2 day track event and a 1 day autocross event so far, and has performed admirably in both. Sway bars may be coming up, but otherwise the only things that are in the works for modifications include a hardwire for the Escort with a remote mute switch, an RDS Ipod interface, a KUDA mount to increase dash space, and heated seats. The entire front end has been wrapped with EXEL plastic thanks to Shadow Tinting in Calgary (full hood, full front bumper, both front fenders, pillars and windshield cross, mirror backs, head and fog lamps, both doors 1/2 way up, and the impact areas behind the rear tires). The wife is still in the 'my goodness, it looks way too fast' phase and hasn't driven it yet (thankful that it seems to scare her as she preferred my new 325i to her A4 a couple of years back, leaving me stuck with the A4)
