- Description Very nice example of the original 964. The motor has not been rebuilt. It runs strong and starts reliably, even after sitting a little longer than usual. I will add a picture later in the week. I have owned this car for a year but have not been able to enjoy it after being ripped off by a independant shop when I took it in for a "look over" shortly after acquiring it. three other shops tried to scam the car from me by lying about what it might need and then offering some low ball price to "take it off my hands". I went through a simular experience when I first bought another older German car. Unfortunatley, at that point I fell for it. Many thousands of dollars later,... and after I learned to work on the car myself, I figured out that my BMW was actually quite reliable and rather easy to work on! SO...with this Porsche my goal is to do most routine maintainence myself with the assistance of others that appreciate excellant engineering and find one honest and competent shop in my area to establish a relationship with. Sorry if I made this into a mini-rant but appreciating this wonderfully engineered machine (and yes it's pretty too!) is what is most interesting to me, and I hope others.
