  3. A waste of money IMHO. There are much much better aftermarket kits that much better for less money.
  4. From the Lost Radio Code FAQ... "I get a WAIT on the display - what do I do? You have to wait at least 30 minutes before trying again."
  5. You didn't read the Lost Radio Code FAQ... "Can you give me a code for my PCM? These units are manufactured jointly by Siemens and Becker, and the only place where you can get the codes required is from the dealer/OPC. The PCM’s require two codes, the ICS/Siemens code, and a Becker code. The ICS is the first code requested. Sorry, the only place you can get a PCM code is from a dealer/OPC."
  6. Can anybody confirm - I've read elsewhere that chime sound for unfastened driver seat belt they implemented in MY04 996.2 going forward. On my MY03 there is no any chime sound when I don't plug or unplug the driver seat belt, it only lits up the red warning light on the dash. I have the chime going off for the speed limit set thus it is there and it is in the working order.
  7. When I raise my soft top on my 2000 Porsche 911 996 Carerra Cabriolet, the back windows stopped closing. How to fix. Thanks for any suggestions.
  8. I just purchased a Porsche 2000 911 996 Manual Cabriolet and when the battery was changed, my radio screen asked for a code and then said WAIT. How do i fix this to get my radio working again?
  9. Local dealer couldn't find code with VIN. Can some help me with 996 radio + nav? Becker BE 2580 45142443 Siemens PO8150169844/01
  10. For a 2002 Porsche Boxster S, the fuel pressure at the rail should be around 3.3 to 3.8 bar (47.9 to 55.1 PSI), and the fuel delivery rate should be around 850 cubic centimeters (cc) in 30 seconds. The test port is on the passenger side fuel rail, under cap #7 you will find a Schrader valve :
  11. Back 30 years ago, I got a speeding ticket and could get a reduced fine if I took the car and had the speedometer calibrated. I did. It was spot on, of course. The problem was my right foot. No speeding tickets since. Find a shop that sets Porsches up for racing to do your suspension analysis. I did and it made all the difference.

  13. I think I know what happened here! I piggybacked the original poster, Andrew Howell, and he was getting the "immobilizer not ready" warning! I think we are back on track here! As in the quote that I have attached reads, you initially suggested that I check the fuel pressure and delivery rates. It went a different direction when you thought there was something in the tachometer being off and that's where the CPS fix came into to play. I understand your mixup because your tending to a lot of different threads. Moving forward. I did purchase a fuel pressure kit. Where is the fuel pressure rail? What readings should I be getting for the fuel pressure and delivery rates? I have never performed this test before. All new stuff for me, but rewarding and going through the steps. By the way, I just donated again. I do appreciate you, JFP and this site!
  14. Many auto parts stores will use a reader on your car for free. Really need to know the fault code(s).
  15. Have you tested the car for fuel pressure and delivery using the test port on the fuel rail? If it has full pressure and delivery rates, the answer would be "no". And, as noted from your first post, you got an "immobilizer not ready" warning..............
  16. The car did fire up then died when I used starter fluid. Doesn't this suggest it's a fuel delivery issue?
  17. If the immobilizer is dead, the car will aimlessly turn over and never start; it is your anti theft system. The most common reason these things fail is moisture, but we have seen them with burnt circuit boards as well. Take the box out, open it and look, only then you will know if it can be excluded. And yes, it would be expensive as the part is pricey to begin with and you need access to a PIWIS system to code it to the car.
  18. I hope it isn't that. That looks like an expensive fix. I'm not sure if I mentioned it but the car does turn over strong but won't start. Could it be the starter as well? I took a look under the seat and it's not wet at all.
  19. It does give me an engine fault, drive on possible. I don't have the reader, but it indicates a small EVAP leak and a large EVAP leak. I am going to look at the purge valve as well.
  20. 2011 958 Turbo Air Suspension will occasionally store error code "257 Pressure sensor, signal line short circuit to B+" when raising to higher level. Any idea what part may be causing that issue? The air suspension still works and will quickly raise/lower to all levels despite the error. Also no signs of anything leaking. I recently replaced the rear air struts and air compressor and they seem to be working well except for this occasional code.
  21. Decided to connect an older iPhone 6 and the volume controls on PCM and steering work ! Reconnected newer 13 mini and it also worked. Shut down vehicle, restarted and 13 mini no volume control again. Grrr. Reconnected the 6 again and it worked and then mini worked. I think lightning cable has to connected in alignment so signal path is a straight shot . I also think PCM 3.0 is somewhat flakey. I don’t think Bluetooth 30 pin converter route will be much better based on what I’ve read. I’ll keep playing with it.
  22. 8035 Diagnosis information rear - Reversing light Possible fault causes - Open circuit/contact resistance in wiring, sockets, plugs and terminals - Short circuit to ground in wiring - Reverse gear switch faulty - Tiptronic control unit faulty - Short circuit to ground in point SP039_SPRFL_2 (driver's seat) of the ParkAssist control unit
  23. Reread what Loren posted above: 8035 Diagnosis information rear - Reversing light Possible fault causes - Open circuit/contact resistance in wiring, sockets, plugs and terminals - Short circuit to ground in wiring - Reverse gear switch faulty - Tiptronic control unit faulty - Short circuit to ground in point SP039_SPRFL_2 (driver's seat) of the ParkAssist control unit And please do not double post your problem, it is against forum rules................
  24. I’m experiencing something similar. The AC/Heater works, but the lcd screen flashes three times when I turn on the car and doesn’t read or regulate the temperature correctly. My icarsoft shows interior sensor fan code 8035. Did you find a solution?
