  3. Would pumping the pedal bring it back? I'm asking because I'm having similar issues with an AE86. Not a Porsche, I know, but I found your thread from Google. I've replaced the master and slave several times. On high RPM mostly, occasionally the pedal goes straight to the floor as if there's air in the line, but if you pump it a few times it comes back. Generally it does fine in the lower RPM range. Clutch is brand new. It started when I replaced it.

  5. Now you know why Loctite exists...........
  6. SOLUTION: I finally got around to dropping my transmission and it turns out the PRESSURE PLATE BOLTS were backing out. This was resulting in the car unable to shift into gear even with the clutch fully depressed. It really felt like there was air in the clutch line but it finally makes sense. Got the car back together and it feels so good to be driving it again!

  13. Hi all, I am super glad this is still active! Just recently had my battery die completely so upon getting a new one I am now left needing my radio code. 2001 911 Turbo CDR-220 Type: 4462 Serial #: y5036632 Thank you for the help! Lifesaver of a forum.

  15. $18,000.00??? Chump change! lol That's unreal! They do that to deter self-help guys. I'm holding out hope, here... 😄
  16. Porsche stopped producing "paper" manuals in 2006. Service manuals are now only available in PIWIS. Everything is available on the PIWIS system,or by subscription, but are not inexpensive ($18,000 per year) . Most of the aftermarket manuals are pretty useless.
  17. Hello Everyone! First time here. Hoping to encounter a warm, friendly community! Experienced VW/Audi rebuilder, here. I've got me a Panamera S E-Hybrid (970) with a supercharged V6 engine that has a rod knock that I'm looking to rebuild right away. QUESTION: Does anyone have access (or knows where I can get them) to the engine service manuals for this bad boy I could use? I reached out to Porsche and they protect those manuals like state secret. Apparently, this is a VW/Audi engine but my hang-up is with the hybrid aspect of it. No lift available, mind you... So, with that in mind, I was told that I had ZERO chance of removing this baby from the top due to the Engine/E motor/Transmission being all together and because of that, subframe drop is the only way to go. Someone else said that I could remove the bumper/front end of the car and pull the engine and all else frontwards without the need of a lift. Just to elevate the car on jack stands and that it'll work. Audi has the Erwin website for service manuals. Is there something like that for Porsche? Really would like that service manual or perhaps a Q&A with a tech here in the RennTech community... I'd be so indebted to you! Anyhow, looking for the engine service manual and some support from the community. I'd love to document it all and post it here for the community. Can anyone assist? Thanks so much, Maayan-

  21. Your radio is made by Becker. This model requires the PIN code once unplugged. Look in your Owner's Manual pouch it should be a credit card-size Becker card with a 4-digit PIN or if a prev. owner has written it somewhere. If you got your pup from an individual and not a dealership/resellers you can call the person and ask if he remembers the PIN for the radio? Alternate option you can pull the ratio out and there is a sticker with a serial number. Check on eBay if there is a service to pull the Becker PIN by the S/N. It used to be a girl some time ago she was pulling it like in 5' for $30 or so. Once you entered an incorrect PIN, you need to WAIT for 10'. I think it's 10, not 30.
  22. Hi Loren, I am hoping you can help with a radio code for my 2002 996.2 C4s. The radio is a Becker CDR-220 Model #4462 Serial #15002040 Thanks for any help you can provide!
  23. A waste of money IMHO. There are much much better aftermarket kits that much better for less money.
  24. From the Lost Radio Code FAQ... "I get a WAIT on the display - what do I do? You have to wait at least 30 minutes before trying again."
  25. You didn't read the Lost Radio Code FAQ... "Can you give me a code for my PCM? These units are manufactured jointly by Siemens and Becker, and the only place where you can get the codes required is from the dealer/OPC. The PCM’s require two codes, the ICS/Siemens code, and a Becker code. The ICS is the first code requested. Sorry, the only place you can get a PCM code is from a dealer/OPC."
